Full-Time Lead Housekeeper

Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities, and direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, within established company and departmental policies and procedures, the Lead Housekeeper performs a variety of duties to keep the laundry and housekeeping department functioning smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service with a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork while meeting the needs of residents, staff and visitors.  Support all aspects of the RiverWoods community.
  • Assist Supervisor with inspections of apartments, common areas, and housekeeping equipment. Follow up any problem areas with staff members, as well as appropriate documentation.
  • Coordinates staff weekly, monthly and refurbishment cleaning schedules.
  • Maintain ongoing textile and quarterly housekeeping and laundry inventories.
  • Assist with daily supervision of housekeeping/laundry operation.
  • Promote safety and proper ergonomics skills to staff.
  • Meet with new residents to explain housekeeping and laundry services.
  • Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in his/her absence.
  • Perform general and heavy cleaning tasks as well as other cleaning assignments as directed by the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Follow Hazard Communication Policies and Procedures to include but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out and the Globally Harmonized System.

 

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license

1-3 years experience in housekeeping, laundry, or office environment is required
